What is real estate consulting?
Homeplace Advisors, LLC is a locally owned and operated real estate consulting firm and brokerage with the flexibility to offer you, the consumer, choices.
The way we do business is simple: our services are based on your needs and your budget.
You don’t have to pay us in the form of a commission (unless you want to.) You don’t have to commit to a long-term listing agreement (unless you choose to.) You don’t even have to hire us (but after seeing what we can do for you, you might not be able to resist!)
Here’s how it works:
Instead of selling to you, we consult with you. When you contact Homeplace Advisors about buying or selling a home, or for a variety of other real estate needs, we’ll spend time evaluating your situation and your personal needs before suggesting which of our services will benefit you. Then we’ll help you determine a payment method that works for you, too. If the commission model is what you’re comfortable with, then great. We will happily do that. But if not, we offer alternatives that in many cases will end up saving you some money. The point is, it’s your choice entirely.
Does Homeplace Advisors offer other services?
Yes!! One of our specialties, for example, is working with home sellers that have chosen not to hire a full-service real estate agent. We’ve developed several packages of services just for these folks to help them with the areas in which they decide they would like assistance. We can help with pricing, prepping the home for the market, or we can even assist them from contract to closing after a buyer has been found.
Why are most real estate agents paid by commission contingent upon the sale of the home?
It’s our belief that this decades-old commission model exists today in real estate sales simply because that’s the way it’s always been done. Does that mean it has to be done this way? Nope! And that’s where our services differ from most other real estate brokerages.
We don’t believe that a “one-size-fits-all packaged real estate service” is always the best choice for the consumer. Furthermore, with the cost of real estate services being based on the sale price of a home, the price tag to sell a home has unfortunately become unaffordable for many homeowners today. And so we’re proud to offer traditional service packages, alternative service packages and a la carte services that allow the consumer to have a choice in what we do for them and how much they will ultimately spend.
